No matter what religion one is, one should not blog or comment as anonymous and dan the george. Religion is a personal choice with each of us and we should not try to impose our thoughts and or rudeness to what others believe.

Embalmed with wax. Same as Evita. You can tell by the color of the skin and nails in the second pic (just the pinky though, the rest of the fingers look to be painted). As well as looking at the eyebrow line. (If you look at the pictures of Evita, you'll see what I mean.) This is good work. Embalming in wax has been done for centuries. Though, the cooling system for the casket must cost a fortune, as the skin must be maintained. Good work non-the-less. Complete bullshit and a desecration to the person.

ahh deadly sure dats mad!!whatever with the wax and watnot!!good stuff!!

Whoever posted that religion is a personal choice;

That's very true, but this is quite clearly not a miracle! If this was genuine you think the press wouldn't be all over it? It's not just bullshit, it's cruel deception of gullible people. Intelligent Catholics would never believe that rubbish.

An airtight container is a bit of a help too.

It would be nice if we do not use anonymous to blog.

I would suggest that any of you who happens to find him/herself in France, should go and verify the autenticity of this claim insted of saying all sorts of blasfamous stuff online.

Do not doubt the power of God in miracles.

God bless you all.

I have no doubt about the power of God - this world, the galaxies, Adam and Eve, the foetus in the womb, the mountains, the rivers the seas... these are miracles, His creation...
Why? It is Allah who created all these, the prophets, Abraham, Moses, Jesus (peace be upon them) and the final messsenger Muhammad (peace and the blessings of Allah be upon him)..
Glory be to Allah.

p/s I believe Bernadette's body has been embalmed though. :-)

Apologies in case someone's feelings are hurt

Exhumations
St. Bernadette Soubirous at Nevers was exhumed and put on display with a wax mask and wax hand coverings.
Relic of St. Bernadette and stone from the Grotto of Lourdes

Bishop Gauthey of Nevers and the Church exhumed the body of Bernadette Soubirous on September 22, 1909, in the presence of representatives appointed by the postulators of the cause, two doctors, and a sister of the community. They claimed that although the crucifix in her hand and the rosary had both oxidized, her body appeared "incorrupt" — preserved from decomposition. This was cited as one of the miracles to support her canonization. They washed and reclothed her body before burial in a new double casket.

The Church exhumed the corpse a second time on April 3, 1919. A doctor who examined the body noted, "The body is practically mummified, covered with patches of mildew and quite a notable layer of salts, which appear to be calcium salts. ... The skin has disappeared in some places, but it is still present on most parts of the body."

In 1925, the church exhumed the body for a third time. They took relics, which were sent to Rome. A precise imprint of the face was molded so that the firm of Pierre Imans in Paris could make a wax mask based on the imprints and on some genuine photos. This was common practice for relics in France, as it was feared that the blackish tinge to the face and the sunken eyes and nose would make an unpleasant impression on the public. Imprints of the hands were also taken for the presentation of the body and the making of wax casts. The remains were then placed in a gold and crystal reliquary in the Chapel of Saint Bernadette at the mother house in Nevers. The site is visited by many pilgrims and the body of Saint Bernadette is still shown despite being nearly one hundred and thirty years old

Unlike the person saying this is bullshit, and that speaks for their intelligent level too. I am a believer, but a I know one must investigate to prove a miracle such as St. Bernadette. All things are possible through God! To those who refuse to approcach this matter scientifically at least they can only say bullshit. That is easy to say. There is no body that can be brought to the degree of display as St. Bernadette 122 years dead, unless the body was preserved to the beauty that she lay...A little nail polish and retouching does not take away from the miracle.Awesome!

For those that say bullshit and the lenin remark, let me ask you? Do you know this to be BS? Whos to say they didn't have nail polish back then? or paint? Lets see leanardo da vinci, yes I think he used paint too. Anyways my point is, being the catholic I am, but also a sceptical person, I cannot prove this is authentic, but i cannot disprove it either. I am a believer of God, so yes I believe miracles can happen, and has all through the centuries. For those that doubt, show us your proof! For those that believe, God Bless you all!

To those of you who believe and have faith, be assured that "You will be forever protected and loved by God". He will never look away from you. Even in times of trouble and when you feel like that the whole world is against you, be assured my dear friends, GOD IS RIGHT BESIDE YOU SHARING YOUR PAIN.
And to those who tainted the Lords name and called it all bulshit, be assured that one day you will go down on your knees asking for forgiveness when you are in need. It maybe a sickness, loss of a loved one etc, you will definitely turn to God. When you do, God will simply embrace you and forgive you. God loves you anyway. He died on that cross to save you and me. If HE has to, HE WILL DO IT AGAIN for YOU AND ME.
All of you who read this can comment saying what ever you want to. But in my heart I know that it wont bother me because I love, trust and have so much faith in Him.
God Bless you all!!

And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.(2 Corinthians 11:14-15) If the body never turnd to Dust, isn't against what All Mighty Lord said.. "For dust you are,And to dust you shall return" (Genesis 3:19)
