Lavish Costumes And Clothing Exhibition Of Russian Royalty

If there’s one point of similarity between the style of a tsar and a star, perhaps, it’s that both are dressed to the nines.
A one of-a-kind exhibition entitled “The Royal Style”, which highlights costumes of the Russian tsars and court nobility, has opened its doors in the Italian city of Prato in Tuscany.

One of the aims of the exhibition is to emphasize the long-lasting historic liaisons between Russia and Italy. Some 130 rare artifacts are on display at the local Textile Museum until January 2010.

Apart from lavish costumes and clothing, the exhibition also features portraits of Russian royalty, diplomats, travellers and merchants.
